How it works

Set the length and the budget
In the extension, open Share minutes. Choose how long the code stays valid, from 30 minutes to 24 hours, and how many minutes of subtitles it may spend, from 15 minutes to 24 hours. You can also limit how many people may use it, up to 50.

Create the code and pass it on
Copy the code or the link, or send it by email from the extension. A code is eight characters and leaves out letters that look alike, so it is easy to read out loud.

Your guest starts subtitles
They install the extension, enter the code or open your link and start. No account and no card.

Watch it, stop it when you like
The code shows how many places are taken and how many minutes it has spent out of its budget. Revoking stops the code and the link at once, and conversations running on it stop with them.
What you see after handing out a code
The code works as a link too. Whoever opens the link gets the code filled in for them, and the extension shows you how many people are watching on it right now.

An example
A trainer runs a two-hour workshop for six colleagues who read three different languages. She creates one code valid for three hours, with six places and a budget of 720 minutes, and puts the link in the meeting invitation. The budget counts minutes of subtitles across everyone using the code at the same time: six people for two hours spend 720 minutes. If someone joins late or the workshop overruns, the code keeps working until the time or the budget runs out.
What the code changes, and what it does not
A code changes only who pays. The guest’s speech is processed under the guest’s own settings, not yours, and they see what is left on the code, not what is on your balance. Guests have no account area and cannot save transcripts. A guest entry exists only so the session can run and is kept for 7 days after the code stops working.
In a company account
A code spends the company balance. An administrator decides whether members may hand out codes at all: everyone, administrators only, or nobody. A member’s codes stop working when they leave the company.
What it will not do
- Subtitles are charged per person: three people using one code at once spend its budget three times as fast as one.
- A code needs at least one minute left to be accepted.
- One code serves at most 50 people.
- Guests cannot save transcripts or open the account area.

- Does my guest need an account?
